Not sure what to say?

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's death. He taught Histology for us in the Biology Department a few years ago and amazed me with his talents. He gave organized and fascinating lectures punctuated by beautiful slides of tissues and his own drawings on the board using fluorescent chalk. I have tried to follow his lead but find it impossible to fill his shoes - he was just so very talented as a teacher. What a tragic loss of a most valuable and admirable person!

I had the great privilege of meeting Michael Casey at the Harvard MACY program in January and May of 2003. Mike was a consumate teacher and dedicated lifelong learner. His sense of humor and commitment to medical education were but two of the things I will remember most about him. I am shocked and saddened by his death, but I will never forget him. He spoke so frequently and fondly of his family....please know that I am thinking of you all.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Casey through our affiliation with the American Association of Clinical Anatomists. He was a passionate teacher, a dedicated scholar, and a wonderful friend to many in the association. I have fond memories of playing golf with him during our AACA golf outings, especially in Hawaii. I am grateful for the knowledge and advice he passed along to me. He will be sorely missed.

Dr. Casey taught our son and daughter-in-law. He touched them deeply and they both commented on his extreme intelligence and great personality. We all share in your loss.
