I´m sorry to read of Scott´s passing. He and I worked together briefly, but he was an instant friend. He was so smart and unique!

Scott and Jean at our wedding in Bangalore, India in 2005.
It was a pleasure and an honor to have known Scott and Jean. May the journey to their next stop be as wild and adventurous as this one. We will aim to keep them alive and well through stories and pictures we pass on to our boys who affectionately called Scott 'Scotty tata', meaning grandpa. We are truly going to miss you both. With much love and affection.

Scott and Jean were our friends and neighbors. They took our son to their cabin, shared biking fun with us, and enjoyed discussion about our common passion for aviation. Scott was always there to inspire, say a word of support or a great joke. He helped us build a deck and was willing to do anything for a neighbor. Jen was patient with my daughter when her rabbit escaped numerous times into her garden. Scott would bring the rabbit back in his fishing net or capturing it so the pet was not...

This is the cover of a book he helped contribute towards. This is a picture he took close to his cabin. I have a copy and always wanted him to sign it

When we first met, he and I shared many phone conversations about Elodea and the safety hazards it posed to pilots on Lake Hood. Without his determined outlook to save the lake, I wouldn't have been successful to treat it, and make sure safety issues related to any vegetation would never happen again because of active, and effective management. He was a...

Scott and Jean extend their time and efforts to many causes generously. They invited me and others to join them in their many interest, such as; gardening, birding, woodworking, hiking biking, skiing and aviation.
Their mentoring behaviors seem to have no limits. Whenever they learned of a person's need they were the first to volunteer.
Very special people like them will be missed by all who knew them, family and friends.

2017 Photo when we visited Scott & Jean at their remote cabin.
We will VERY much miss Scott and Jean with they're frequently stops in the summer at our dock in Seward. Scott's generous spirit and happy heart will long be remembered at Bear Lake and throughout Alaska. Many of Scott's woodworking gifts adore our home and he with Jean are in our hearts forever!
