Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Michael's death in the "In Memoriam" section of the USF Magazine. Michael and his former wife Susan and my husband Ed and I were friends in the late 70's and early 80's. Michael and I attended USF together. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a good friend, and my thoughts go out to his family.

Living directly across the street from each other, it is no surprise that Mike was my first-ever friend. We spent lots of time at each other's homes, mostly in our elementary school years. I remember Cub Scout meetings in the garage of his family home, as well as stepping on a nail one night while getting a tour of the construction going on when his family added a room in the back of the house. We also spent hours playing outside on 38th Avenue with many other neighbors.

I had not kept in touch with Mike after our years together as classmates at St.Gabriel School, but I remember him as simply a nice guy. I am sure that as an adult he was a kind and gentle man.
