I have always looked at Mike as a mentor or big brother.I can't imagine Mike not with us.Our prayers are for all of the Claboe family.

I was sorry & saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Please know my prayers & sympathy are with Mike's family.
My husband & I were customers of Mike from the day he took over his station at Allen Ave & Hall Blvd. When my husband passed away I could always count on Mike to help me in an emergency. He never refused to come to my aid. I was out of town when he sold his station & was crushed to find out he was no longer there & I didn't at least get to say good by to him. He was a good friend...

I first met Mike when I moved to Oregon as the District Mgr for Texaco. Mike was a salesman in Portland and he was a pleasure to work with. He always had a positive attitude and was objective oriented. He was very popular with his fellow workers, and everyone who worked with him supported his decision to go into business for himself. He will be missed by his friends and family.

"Always on my mind."

Mike and I had been friends for 70 years. I remember perfectly when the "strange big guy" clambered down the bank wanting to play sand lot baseball. He had just moved from Alaska at the time. We carried the PI Newspaper for four years; that meant that we met every morning at 4:30 AM at the paper shack and shared nasty naive stories, talked about hot dates that never happened, and we talked about what was coming up in life. Mike was a 3 sports guy in high school. He played football in college....
