Read MoreIn 1972-3, having known Doug in elementary school I walked down the street with an offer to buy baseball cards from the Classen brothers. It was Mike who flipped up one card after another for my viewing. My memory is of when he offered a Don Larsen card and I passed on it. Do you know that Don Larsen pitched the only perfect game in World Series history, he asked. God bless Mike, sorry to hear of his passing.

Mike was one of the kindest, politest and genuine souls. He always greeted me with a shy smile and by name. I will miss this Godly man. May he rest in peace.
