Michael Paul Cody

It's taken me this long to write this my hearts in pieces for the family. Mike and I were together in our fight and just the peace and love...... he just had a glow about him the more I got to know him. I was blessed and got to see him shortly before his passing and I just can't wait to see him again. I love ya little bro! God bless the family. I pray for peace for all of you.

Deeply saddened when I heard about Michael's passing. My son Cameron played soccer with Michael back when they were about 12 years old. I also knew his mother Jan, from working at Borgess Visiting Nurses. Michael seemed like such a neat kid and he made quite an impression on me and Cameron. We lost touch when Cameron moved out of state with his father, but we never forgot Michael, and I often wondered how he was doing, and what he was doing with his life.

I first met Cody at Kellogg Elementary where my son Eric Camera, went to school with him. Years later I would have the pleasure of having him ride my school bus. The one thing that stood out to me, was that he seemed to lack prejudice as he always spoke with such genuine kindness to everyone. His smile, his body language and his delivery was unmistakeable in his genuine hope and yearning for a world that knows only love.

Many memories revisited since receiving news of Michael's passing. He was a talented young man who grew into a man of many skills, passionate and energetic. He was a marvel to observe on the field. It seemed the world could never move or think as fast. I pray his heavenly path is now unbound and his presence in God, peace everlasting.
