Not sure what to say?

I was just in Dayton and remembered that Mike lived nearby so I Googled him and was saddened to see his obituary. Mike and I met in the early 80s at CSU radio station and shared many of the same interests.....cooking, dancing, music, photography, art galleries/auctions, DIY projects, and a crazy cat named Ramone. His nickname was "York" bestowed upon him by a band he helped promote. Mike´s laugh was contagious and his stories brought friends to tears of hilarity. As a young man he had a high...

I´m so sorry to hear Mike is gone.I worked for him at HBH, and always thought about him and wanted to catch up. I googled and saw this awful news. I wish I hadn´t waited so long to reach out. He was truly one of the most fascinating, interesting people I´ve ever met.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I only met Mike once, but we all had such a great time at the Greek Festival in Tremont - and he was so much fun and funny. May God bless your family - wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Mike and I met in 1977, my first weekend at Kent State. As we early-arrivers settled into our first floor quad dorm room, suddenly in through the window burst a bundle of raw nerves with a beak like an eagle, trampolining off the bed and announcing that he was our fourth roommate. Of course, from that day forward the window became our primary point of egress, and life was never the same. Mike was only able to fund that first semester before heading back to Cleveland, but it was a semester...

What a great friend, I have in you. How I miss you, and will, to the day I pass. I can't keep count of the infinite amount of great memories I have accumulated for the last 45 plus years. These memories will endure with me. I am blessed being part of your, and then, your and Leah's life. My heartfelt thoughts go out to Leah, Yvonne, Mike and James, George and his wife, and Greg. Every time I spoke to, or was around you and Leah, my day was extraordinary. God Bless ol' pal, and Peace.

May God bless you and your family during this difficult time

I'm so sorry for your loss!! I knew him from working at the Mason Food Pantry, he had a big heart!!

Remembering the good times.

Thinking of all of you.
Much love,
Laura & Kirby

So much to say, friends for over 50 years, life would interrupt but every time we saw each other we fell right back into our laughter, our memories and sharing our philosophies. I admired you, you were sharp, intelligent, confident and you knew how to have fun. I was insecure, not sure of my talents and self defeating. You lifted me up, told me what I was capable of and I went out and did it. I owe a lot to you, my friend. Many times when I was down you were there for me, you saved me by...
