Not sure what to say?

We knew Michael in grade school. The Roffinos had 10 kids and the Cooks had 8.
Went to St. Pius X in East Dallas, Casa View neighborhood.
I remember Michael as he and his Dad were always working in the garden & yard whenever they had time.
Remember he did always enjoy working with plants.
Will remember him in our prayers.

I just heard of Mike's passing yesterday. I played softball with Mike and would often see him at lunchtime recently at local restaurants. Mike was always friendly, giving something away, or telling a joke. He was a truly nice fellow . We will miss him. What a nice guy. Condolences to Donna and the family. His family is very nice ,also.

I send my sincere condolences to the Cook family. I was one of the kids from St. Andrew's, who played on the Bushwackers soccer team and continued to see Mr. Cook over the years at various school and church events like the annual Fall Festival. He was always cheerful, always reaching out to people to make them feel welcome and comfortable. This went a long way with an introverted kid like me.

I remember how he called out our names across the field to commend us for a good play. I...

I am so sorry for your loss. I have worked for him at the Southlake store for almost a year now. He was kind to everyone that he spoke to. Lifting your family up in prayer.

I had the pleasure of working for this kind soul every day for the last 12 years. I saw first hand the many acts of kindness Mr. Cook carried out on a daily basis. When I first came to work for him he asked what my favorite charity was...every month since then St Jude has received $50 in my honor. I could go on and on about all the lives I have personally seen him touch by simply offering them a job, a meal or a listening ear. I would tell him he was a kind soul and he would just brush me...

I just learned of Mike's passing and I'm so sad to have missed his visitation and funeral. He never failed to walk over to me at church to say hello and was there for me also when Jim passed. He was a wonderful man with a quick wit and a kind smile. He set a wonderful example of how to live and treat people. Donna and kids I'm so sorry for your loss but we know he is with God. Love to you and your family.
Rest in Peace Mike. See you on the other side

Mr. Cook will surely be missed by me. He was always so friendly and fun to talk to whenever I was in the store. One day as I walked into the store he was handing out puppies and he insisted I needed one. I insisted I didn't need a puppy. Well he got his way!! I walked out of that store With A Puppy. The puppy was part Shih Tzu black and white, I named him Maxwell. I would take Maxwell back to see Mr Cook every once in a while, claiming, he gave me a Juvenile Delinquent puppy. He would laugh...

I grew up with Mike. Went to church and school with him and college as well. Had an opportunity to have dinner with Mike and Donna at our 50th high school reunion a few years ago. Not surprised to read about all the activities and commitments Mike accomplished in his adult life. My thought and prayers go out to Donna, their children and 20 grandchildren.

Mike was a fine family man and business man. We have known Mike for many years and he was always first class. We will all miss his great smile and stories about his children. What a wonderful Christian. God bless you all.
