Not sure what to say?

Carrie and family, I was so sad to come across Mike's obituary. Working with you at the Flag Fork Garden Cafe for 8 years or so gave me so many wonderful memories. I still dream about it. Mike was the big gentle bear in the corner of the kitchen. Staff loved Mike and Carrie like family. When I think of Mike, I think of his painting of the female cat in the several bikini tops covering her front side. I still laugh at that and wonder where in the world that idea came from. Mike was quieter...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carrie and all the family. I did not know Mike personally very well but I when I worked for his father Burley at T.I. long ago I remember well how much he would talk about Mike and all the other boys. Having parents like Burley and Mary, two outstanding people, Mike had to have been a fine man with many talents. I just want to express my sympathy to Carrie, Mary and the four brothers.

It was a such a pleasure to work with both Mike and Carrie. Mike will be missed. Prayers of comfort for family.

Mike was so very giving...I met him after 2012, and he and Carrie were so open to helping other learn about spinal cord injuries and participating in research to further our understanding of recovery. His painting of our crazy fun rehab crew live in infamy. He will be missed.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I enjoyed working at Flag Fork with him.

Mike was a very talented and kind person. I appreciate his gentle spirit and acceptance. I know his family will miss him greatly. All my sympathy goes out to Carrie and the rest of the family. Prayers for comfort and strength at this time.
