After graduating from U of M he began as a model maker at AC Spark Plug, part of General Motors in Flint, later becoming a Supervisor at Delphi. He retired from Delphi in 2003. Michael loved to spend time up north near Traverse City on the lake in the summer and loved to spend time on his boat. He loved Mustangs and classic cars. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, and adored his grandchildren. Michael will be remembered as someone who was always up for anything and who always made people laugh.

Not sure what to say?

We always had a great time with Mike. He was one in a million. He was always fun to be with and always up for whatever you wanted to do. If you needed help with anything he was always ready to help. We still miss Mike.

We met Mike in Florida with his family. We truly enjoyed
spending time with him. If you needed help with tv or
most anything else, he was the guy to call. We remember
fondly the time we spent with Mike and his family.

Mike and I were really good friends in high school. As sometimes happens, we didn't see much of each other after high school. I was drafted in 1970 and spent the next 12 years all over the world. We did get to spend a weekend in New York City in the early 70's. He was taking basic training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey and I was in Washington DC. I went to Jersey and we took the bus to Manhattan. The last time I saw him was at the casino in Mt. Pleasant where I worked. He is very missed.

It's been 4 long years since your passing, my friend. Always think of you when I see a "California Special" or Mustang GT on the road. The two of us and our families shared many wonderful times together. God bless you Cheryl and l will always cherish the wonderful times with my best buddy.

You will never be forgotten, Mike. Such a nice person, and we are blessed to have known you even if it was for a short time. You must be giving Cheryl pointers from heaven on how to play shuffleboard. She is one great shuffleboard player just like you were! Till we meat again...Peace & love, John & Lori

Dear Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear about Mike. I got a message on my e-mail or would not have known about it.
Believe me I know how you feel as Doug passed away March 10 this year. It is hard to face this and I am so sorry as Mike and you are so young. Lots of Love Nora Lee Bemis
