Michael Lee Daniel, 48, of Hampstead, NC passed away July 31, 2025. Michael was born January 6, 1977 and raised in Hampstead, NC. He graduated from Topsail High School in 1995. Michael began his career as a young boy sweeping the floor at Meineke owned by his parents, Lee and Kathryne Daniel. He honed his skills in the same business which later led him to Advanced Automotive Repair. In 2012 Michael and John Howland realized their life long dream when they opened their own business. Advanced Automotive Repair immediately became a go to shop for quick, reliable and affordable car care. As time went by Michael became the shining light as the repair order and customer service representative. John’s training and natural abilities led him to the role of head mechanic.
He is survived by his loving wife Jodi, and their pride and joy, daughter, Anna Leigh; his parents Lee and Kathryne Daniel; siblings, Wendy Evrley and Amy Daniel; nieces Carolyne and Danielle Evrley; and in-laws Wesley and Sharon Thomas; sister-in-law Laura Thomas; brother-in-law, Chris Thomas(Mikeum); nieces and nephews Sailor, Brooks, CJ and Roy and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Whit Benton, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Lee Daniel, Sr., and brother-in-law, Matthew Thomas.
The family will receive friends at Topsail Presbyterian Church, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 3pm followed by a memorial service at 4pm. Rev. Stewart Link will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers please spread some SUNSHINE.

I am devastated of Mike’s passing. I was at the shop just a couple weeks ago talking and joking with him. He told me he felt great and looked the best I had seen him look in awhile. I really hate this. Mike was a good man, always honest and straight forward with his customers. I will truly miss him. God bless you brother and R.I.P.
