Nancy - I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. Thinking and praying for you and your family during this difficult time.

I always enjoyed our conversations together. I miss the family gatherings at Cal & Joan's. I've heard the gardens take care of themselves in heaven. lol

Mike and I attended grade school and high school together. He was a good man, and good friend. Two quick stories. Sister Dolorosa our 7th grade teacher ar Holy Name sent us across the street from the school to change the burnt out light bulbs in the church. The ladders were too short to reach the light bulbs so we got the keys to the bell tower, unlocked the door, and climbed to the top. The wooden steps were old and dangerous. Mike was a man of immense integrity. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with him on both Union matters as well as company issues. He was always gentle, considerate, caring and open minded. He was also a fun person to be around and it was always a pleasure to do business with him as well as socialize.
