Proctor Funeral Home - Camden Obituary

Michael L. Davis, 70 of Camden, AR passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born January 27, 1950 in Camden, AR to Doyle and Glena Faye Phillips Davis. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Camden Jaycees and Camden Bass Club. He was a 1968 graduate of Fairview High School and a 1972 graduate of South Arkansas University. He was an avid outdoorsman, sportsman and fisherman and playing softball. His favorite pasttimes were music and fishing, which he got to enjoy by working for Bensberg Music Store and being the owner of Ouachia County Marine.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Glena Davis. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Davis and wife, Terri of Camden, AR and Phillip Davis and wife, Rachel of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Allison Davis of Norphlet, AR; brother, Jim Davis and wife, Anita of Camden, AR; sister, Rita Spears and husband, Billy of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Abby Davis, Grant Davis, Mason Scott, Finley Scott, Declan Davis and Fisher Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.


Visitation will be 5:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 9:00AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother David Landers and Pastor Kat Burchfield officiating.

Jim and Rita..........I'm so very sorry for your loss. Will always remember Mike playing softball and playing music:)) A larger than life presence that made everyone feel welcome and special! Camden is a little dimmer without him but Heaven gained a truly good man! Prayers for strength, comfort and peace in the hard days ahead.
