To Michael's family: I just found out today who this fine deputy was after reading that he was buried in the Evans family cemetary. We played together as young children when he was visiting his grandmother Ethel Adams near Chesterfield. My parents used to take us to visit Ms. Ethel on a regular basis; Daddy's aunt was married to an Evans. She'd tell us when Michael was coming so my parents could take my brothers and me to play with him. He was such a good kid, and I know from everything I've...

I only just learned of Mike's tragic passing today. I live in Florida. Mike was one of my dearest friends all through high school and well into our 20s. I am deeply saddened and my prayers are with the entire Deese family.
