Burns Funeral Home - Frankford Ave. Obituary

Michael Delaney, Jr. passed away suddenly on April 2, 2025, at the age of 46. He was the beloved son of Michael Delaney, Sr. and Susan Knauf, and the loving father of Alexa Delaney and Aliyah Delaney. He is also survived by his longtime companion Melissa Rasiul. Mike was a dear brother to Eric Wallace and a cherished uncle to Eric Wallace, Jr.

Mike’s greatest joy in life was his two daughters, Alexa and Aliyah, whom he loved more than anything. He was also a dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, a passion that brought him both excitement and camaraderie. Every Friday, Mike could be found enjoying a cheesesteak with extra ketchup, a tradition he never missed. He also held dear the memory of weekly dinners filled with his Pop’s famous London broil, moments that brought comfort and connection.

Mike had a rare gift: everyone who met him instantly loved him. His ability to bring smiles to those around him, no matter the circumstances, made him a beloved friend and family member. He had a deep love for music, finding joy in every genre, from rap to country, always tapping into the rhythm of life with enthusiasm. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit made the world a brighter place, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, at 11:00 AM, followed by Words of Remembrance at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please click here support his family.
