Not sure what to say?

My Father ment so much to so many people. To me he was my teacher, playmate, my father, and the man who showed me what life was all about.
I think of him every day especially when I walk around my townhouse, knowing that he help fix or rebuild a lot of that house. Knowing that he is with me every day in my heart and looking over my shoulder comforts me in ways I cannot explain.
Words cannot express my sorrow and anger about losing my father. I just know that the world needs more...

Remembering what fun we had one year ago at your "surprise" party in Peru.

We miss you Mike.

To my Uncle Mike on his 61st birthday,

It has been 3 months since I last saw you but I feel your presence every day. Thank you for being my godfather, uncle, mentor, fishing instructor and friend. I hope that I can pass on the precious gift that you have given to me to my godson. You were one of a kind and we were all lucky to have known you.

Love, Matt

To Uncle Mike on your birthday,

Thinking of you and missing you always. We'll keep you close in our memories, forever in our hearts.

Love Lynn, Patrick, Madison & Nick

Mike was a very unique person who will be missed by many people. I have known Mike since his Florence days and my brother John worked with him at Flavor Land. We lost contact for many years until we got together again because of mutual great friends and relatives of Mike and Dorothy. We will truly treasure all the great times we had together. Many more Happy New Years Mike, a toast to you. You will truly be missed. Love Pat & Bill Judd

In Loving Memory of Michael B. DeRose 1944 ~ 2005

We consider Dorothy and Michael DeRose our family. They have been with us through all of our joys and sorrows. Aunt Dottie and Uncle Mike are godparents to our son, Matt. They pledged to care for our children if anything happened to us.

We planned a party to celebrate Mike's 50th, years ago. Dottie made his favorite cake. He wanted to go fishing. We compromised and brought the party out on the water in our open boat, on a gray September day. In a cold drizzle, we huddled together in a...

Dear Mrs. DeRose and Family. I was privileged to have Mr. DeRose as a teacher back in 1976-1977 at Enfield High School. I was so shocked and saddened to see the notice in the newspaper that he was no longer with us, and that he was predeceased by your son. He often talked about Tim to our Physics class, about how much fun it was being a young father to a toddler. Each fall I often think back fondly to my junior year in high school when he brought me and some other classmates on a hike at a...

Dear Dottie & Katie,

Like all, I too was shocked to hear of Mike's passing. I still can't believe it.

Mike always had a smile and was fun to be around. I remember Mike as extremely motivated, on the go, full of energy. I remember the things I did with Mike; skateboarding, target practice, and of course skiing. I enjoyed how he picked up on my expression, "pow-pow", refering to skiing the steep & deep in Utah.

Mike has moved to a better place, I...

Kate & I have known each other for 17 years...during that time I've been lucky enough to have had 100s of conversations with Mr. D. I consider myself lucky to have known such a great man.

Forever the teacher, Mr. D. taught a lot of people how to do quite a bit and I am proud to be one of them. Thanks to Mr. D. I learned to ski on B. East.

I miss him & what he meant to Kate & Mrs. D. I know he's with Tim now & that must make him happy. May he forever rest in peace.
