Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies to the whole family on the loss of Michael. I have never met such a tight knit family before, and I know that you will indeed grieve for him. I have many fond memories of our school and band days, and he was truly an inspiration and great guy. I'm so glad he was able to enjoy life to the fullest!!

Dear Deslauriers family, it is still with shock and a heavy heart that I write this short message. We received the news this weekend while we were returning from Polkabration. Mike, Dave and Dan are great guys and all of us in Charm City Sound absolutely love their fun personalities and genuine friendship. Mike will always stay with us through his brother Dave, and within all of our hearts when we enjoy more time together at future events. I hope to see and talk with you very soon.

To Deslauriers Family,
Hoping my deepest sympathy brings you comfort in some small way. Michael was an inspiration for me when we were in band together. He was comical and insightful. May God's love give you strength during your time of sorrow.
Wishing you God's Peace-Sherry A Marchessault

Dear Deslauriers Family,

Please accept our deepest condolences at this difficult time. Mike was well known and appreciated by many of us who play polka music. His pleasant, kind, and enthusiastic demeanor was always an inspiration to us. Know that he'll be remembered with great affection. Dave, you're just like your brother, so our prayers are with you and your family as you carry on.

God bless,

Mike Matousek
Charm City Sound

I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family. I had gotten to know Mike real well at Polka dances and band gigs being on the road. He will be greatly missed.

His friend and musical colleague,

John Miconi

To the Deslauriers family,

I can not express how sorry I am for the loss of Michael. I always knew him to be a kind, intelligent and upstanding young man. I hope in the days to come you will be able to find peace.

It certainly was different going to a wake and hearing polkas playing in the background. But Mike wouldn't have wanted it any other way! My sympathies to "Uncle" Henry and to the rest of the Deslauriers family. It won't be the same playing in Ludlow and not seeing Mike standing there smiling in his usual spot.

To the family of Michael Deslauriers... I want to express my sincere sympathy for your loss. Michael was always an inspiration. I will miss the conversations we had about polka music and about the trumpet. And, I will miss his smile. He was a true friend who will be greatly missed.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Deslauriers family on your loss. Mike was such a great polka friend who always seemed to be at every dance. As a fellow Westfield State graduate, I also feel that I have lost a brother.
