Although Mike and I had a 36 year age difference he and I became fast friends as brother Hibernians. We would often meet at the Gaelic American Club for pint, some music and good conversation. We also enjoyed going to the NYC & Bridgeport St. Patrick´s Day parade, the AOH Communion breakfast and organizing the membership drives for new members at the local Catholic parishes in Fairfield. I was indeed privileged to have known Mike. He had a permanent, easy smile. A very affable person and a great Hibernian. I'm sorry that I will not be able attend the funeral services for Mike. May he find his place in Tir non Og.
