Age 58 of Stillwater, MN 11/19/58 - 12/5/16 This is Beth, Mike's wife. I'm writing this as Mike looks on; with Mike remembering and explaining as I try to put Mike's words into sentences. We are sad about writing this, as we have been holding off and trying to live a 'better than normal' life (as...

TOP 10 REASONS I LOVED MY BROTHER MIKE (By Kelly Diem)

(10) His ability and love to write LISTS for about everything going on, from fixing up the yard, closing an ARCHNET deal, or a list on how to fix a current situation in your life.

(9) His way of making everyone feel welcome and have a great time when they came to visit. I always had a real nice time and can say I never had a bad visit.

(8) He could always strike a deal for ARCHNET, even when he was ill, he kept the...

I learned of Mike's passing from Steve Gish today. Mike and I worked on some projects together and I regret there were not more we could have shared. I fondly recall our flight in his tail dragger followed by a cruise on the St. Croix in his car!
My sincere condolences to Beth and the children.

Sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I was his flight instructor at Fairbault back when he got his private license. We kept in touch for awhile and then lost track. Very sorry, he is missed.

Dear Beth and kids. My name is Betsy Smith. My mother was Gladys Bertram. She is sister to Verne Dremel-Simpson. Sis, Ted, and Tom are my cousins. It's hard for me to picture Mike as a grown man with a family and career. I think the last time I saw him I was babysitting him in Racine. I was in Sis and Frank's wedding. Now Mike, Frank, and Aunt Verne are hugging. I know how sad this is for you. But just remember, the very thoughts that make you cry now, will some day bring warm...

Was very sad to hear of Mikes passing. He was one of a kind. I worked with Mike for many years at KKe architects. We continued to keep in touch for years after he started his own firm. No matter how much time had pass we could jump right in where we left off. That was Mike always ready to laugh, enjoyed a good story or reminiscing about old times. After he was diagnosed we reconnected and had a few lunches together which he called chuckles/depression lunches but there was always more chuckles...

Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He (and Beth) went out of their way when i needed a hand in 2007. I wish i could have stayed to enjoy you're humor and friendship.
I will always remember the time we went ski flying for a $100 hamburger at some lodge in northern Wisconsin or on a frozen spot on the Chippewa River.
He was a huge impact not only myself but also to my daughters especially when he drove us off the boat ramp into the lake in his Amphicar. I never knew those girls...
