Mike was my first manager at Aerojet and a truly great manager and friend. I was saddened to learn he had passed on. He had been on my mind recently. The thing I remember with him is what a genuine and kind man he was and his sense of humor was one to remember. He went out of his way to make his employees happy and cared for. He is a man to remember and I certainly will remember him for the rest of my life. Godspeed old friend...

It seems like yesterday (not 40 years ago) that I had the pleasure of meeting Mike for the first time after arriving at Aerojet from one of their principal competitors. It was from watching and talking with him, Joe McConnell, Doug Mockenhaupt, Geno Chan, Adolph Oberth, Ken Bills and too many others to mention here, that Aerojet-Sacramento was the resident home of the solid rocket industry's premier technical team.
The thing that struck you right away with Mike was that he was not only an attentive and patient listener, he also provided incisive and insightful answers.
Mike was a board certified member of this country's "Greatest Generation" and he deserves all the accolades that he has and is receiving.
I'm sure that the guys that he flew with never had to worry about their "Six" when Sgt Ditore was in the turret.

Well, Mike, I wish to thank you for all the assistance that you gave me and the other toastmasters. Take your toastmaster manual with you. Work is never done. Arne.

I knew Mike from my Aerojet days. He was one of the reasons it was so interesting and so much fun to work there in the 70s and 80s. He was truly a wonderful and interesting friend.
