I was Mike's neighbor here in Tryon. I just now heard the sad news of his passing. I thought he was off on another one of his bike aventures. I guess in a way he is. MIke was a great neighbor and friend though he liked to keep to himself. He never said an unkind word and always had a smile even in times of stress from injury or life. I will miss him terribly as will my dog Ziggy who could never ever pass Mike's house without trying to go in and say hello...which Mike and Ziggy both loved. A...

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

We were shocked to read about Mike. We knew him for many years in NJ, and have kept in contact since he moved to NC and we moved to VA. Our condolences to all his family. A great man who we will surely miss.
