I didn't know Michael or your family, but I have a son who will be entering his junior year in college, and I cannot imagine what you are going through. My thoughts have been with you since his disappearance and likely will always be.

My sincere condolences to the Doherty family and all those that knew and loved Michael. As soon as I heard about it I was praying and watching the news daily hoping for a miracle. I do not know you but I grew up in Franklin many years ago. May you find comfort from friends and family and community as we all mourn your terrible loss.

Although we do not know you personally, we are part of your St. Mary's parish family, and our nephew graduated in Michael's class at Xaverian, which is also a tightly knit family.
