SO SO SAD! I Hope his family is doing well, this man saved my life in 2008. I was a kid at the time but i remember him clearly. And he´s the best DOCTOR I´ve ever had. Point blank knew what he was doing. Sadly i wish he were still here i do need his help again. God bless you and your family

I was searching for my old medical records and sadly came across Dr. Dorsen's obit. In Austin (1993), Dr. Dorsen diagnosed and removed a large pituitary brain tumor that was associated with my Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. He and I participated in the Veteran's Agent Orange class action in 1993-1995. In the surgery, he insisted on utilizing a little-used technology that used pressure and de-pressure of the spinal fluid to assist in moving and removing the tumor. He had an expert flown...

Omg! I was looking for him as he told Doctor Dotson and thats not going to happen. I am sad in fixed my neck in 1996. Now, I need him again! I know I will miss him. Wonder if there is a Doctor he would have recommend? My loss!

Very sad just heard Dr. Dorsen's passing. He saved my mothers live after a sever spine injure, he performed an excellent surgery. He will be remembered and dearly missed.

I just heard of Michael's passing. I was privileged to work with him at Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX for several years. He was upbeat, positive, thoughtful, and helped a lot of patients in dire need. I will always remember him as a positive influence toward humanity. -Rodney D. Schmidt, MD

Dr. Michael Dorsen saved my life in Austin Texas, when I had just turned 29 years old. I had a rupture of an AV Malformation in my brain. During surgery Dr. Dorsen found the malformation was surrounding an undetected aneurism. Despite high odds of unknown things that could be wrong with me after the surgery, I was blessed with this wonderful surgeon's work and absolutely no loss of any function in my brain or body. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family.

To the man who saved my neck when it was severely unstable and no one else had noticed. Dr. Michael Dorsen saw it on a plain x-ray and had to fuse my neck @ 4 levels. He was funny and loved to lighten the day with his humor. This is the man I came to respect tremendously, my neuro-surgeon Dr. Michael Dorsen. He will be remembered and dearly missed. I send sincerest condolences to your family and loved ones.

A field of beauty for his loved ones. My sincerest condolences.

Rhonda Wiatrek his spinal patient will dearly miss him.
