My nephew Mike is always in my heart. I have always felt that he left when he did because he was needed on the other side to help guide us through these tough times on the earth. I well remember the last time that I saw Mike. I had lunch with Mike and my sister Donna. He was wearing a light aqua colored shirt. He was a gentle soul---had a sweet laugh. Oh so bright, and oh, so humble. Always remembered with love.

Mike was special even as an undergraduate. I was lucky to have the opportunity to be his teacher and then colleague, where he knew more than I. Mike was one of the kindest people I ever knew and will be missed. My condolences to his family during this difficult time.

We all looked up to Mike in grad school at UW. He was one of the best. I'm so sorry he's gone.
