Michael M. Duffy, 68, Mayor of South Beloit, IL died unexpectedly Friday, June 20, 2014, in his home.

The Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Guard Honor Guard was requested and honored to provide Mayor Duffy with an honors memorial service.

Michael was a Vietnam veteran who served in the United States Air Force.

Mike will be missed. What an impact player he was. The ripple effect from all the lives he touched will be felt for years to come. I deeply appreciate his years of friendship and support.

Happy, engaging, and a man passionate about the causes he believed in. Mike Duffy was a man I admired so very much. God called home a man of worth, a man we shall all miss greatly, and also a man we should emulate.
