Rev. Michael "Butch" Dyar

I first met Michael "Butch" Dyar in the early 1950s when his family and my family lived across from each other on Benson Street in Hartwell, GA. He played football for Hart County High School. After Butch served in the Army, he attended Anderson College in SC, where I was also a student. We served together in at least two services at the Hartwell First Baptist Church, where Butch was the main speaker. It was a pleasure to get to know Michael. As pastor of Great Swamp Baptist church he came back for home coming and a revival for us. He and Linda were considered a very important part of our church family.
We are sorry for you loss, but we are happy to have been a part of Michael's life.
