Carol and boys - Mike continues to be both missed and fondly remembered. Dave Brian and I often recollect our days in Landfall with all of you. Mostly Brian and David E tell funny stories remembering Mike and his dry but hilarious sense of humor. I remember how sweet and thoughtful he was.bringing me flowers When I had been sick. I also recall how much Mike loved selecting clothes for you as gifts. What good taste he had. As you know Carol he deeply loved you. We will always remember Mike. ...

Dear Carol, I have been exposed to death on a daily basis for thirty years, and know full well the futility of words on this occasion. I can only reflect on the countless cookouts, parties and just beautiful afternoons sitting around somewhere in Chapel Hill sharing some brew with Mike. We all thought it would last forever. His spirit will remain with me always.Bill Watson

Dear Carol,
It's been years since I've seen you two, but I was greatly saddened to learn of Mike's passing. My clearest image of the two of you is at your wedding, young, very much in love, and with the future all ahead of you.
Please know that you your sons are in my prayers.
Grace and Peace,

Carol and family,
I am sorry to hear about Mike. I met Mike when Coach Earey was our swim coach. I later enjoyed many good golf trips with Mike, along with Wally, Mac, the Steve's, Foy, Holland and Catbaby Chapin. Can't erase those great times.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
