ECKERT, Michael A. "Peck" - Of Burton, age 44, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Jim Corder officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Visitation 1-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on June 12, 1963 and was a resident of Burton all of his life. He graduated from Bendle High School in 1981. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and was also an avid bowler. Michael was employed at Winter Seal in Holly for several years and Ant Cliff's until 2006. Surviving are sister, Donna and Bill Ross of Flint; brothers, Randy and wife Ruth Eckert of West Branch, Bill and wife Paula Eckert of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. While we went to school together......lived across the street from each other.........our paths never crossed. Sadly that opportunity in this lifetime has passed but our sincerest condolences from the Chapman family to all the family and friends of Mike are beng sent.
