ELIZONDO
Michael David Elizondo, loyal and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend, peacefully went to join the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the age of 41. He was born in San Antonio on May 5, 1970. A selfless and humble man, Mike was always the first to ask what he could do for others. He was there to lend a hand, provide strong support, or just make you laugh. Mike was the one who would go out of his way to be that friend to you. Although he has passed away from this life, his caring, giving, fun spirit will continue to live with all of us forever. His fierce dedication to family reverberates throughout both the Elizondo and Garcia families. He is truly loved by all. Mike graduated from Jesuit High School in Sacramento, California, where he played football and pole vaulted. He then graduated from UCLA, with a degree in International Economics. While there, he played rugby, and was vice president of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Upon graduation, Mike worked in private industry in the areas of banking and medical supplies. Later, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Bruin Enterprises, a company focused on recycling and providing solar energy solutions. Mike loved outdoor activities, especially hiking, skateboarding, and running. He ran 3 marathons, posting his best time of 3 hours, 44 minutes at the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego. He is survived by his grandmother Ella Elizondo, parents, Bob and Anna Elizondo, his brother Chuck and sister-in-law Aurora, his brother Steve and sister-in-law Luisa, and nephews Francisco and Carlos (godson), and numerous cousins. Mike's parents would like to express their deep gratitude to his close friends Ben Brooks and PJ Lynch for their unwavering support, especially during the last 6 months of Mike's illness.

Not sure what to say?

Mike was a great guy and always brought good energy and a smile to any endeavor. In fact I can't think of him without a smile on his face or laughing with our friends. May he rest in peace. James Hare - UCLA SAE

Mike is one of the best friends a person could have, to everyone. I am glad that I was privileged to be one of those people. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike and his family.

We were devastated by the news and words can't express our deepest sympathy. Jim lost his youngest brother a few years ago. We were all overcome with grief. Somehow, with prayer and faith in God we got through the pain and sorrow, confident that he is with our lord. Anna & Bob, our prayers are with you and your family. Love you, Mary & Jim

To our friends Bob & Anna, with profound sadness, we share our deepest sympathy , Michael is now with the Lord, with love, Heraclio & Laura Rojas (Panama)

I looked up to Mike and he treated me like his little sister. He gave me laughter, advice in life, and some of the best recipes for grilling chicken. BBQ'ing on a Sunday evening at Mike's place and watching football will always be one of the memories I will always cherish of him. His family and loved ones are in my thoughts.
