Not sure what to say?

We do know why, things happen they way they do, but we need more people like you back on this planet. Wherever you are, stir the pot and make it known!

Mike, your time was short here. The last time we had spoken you were traveling the U.P. and we were to get together down the road. Keep smiling my friend! You will be missed!

Mike's "office"

I heard the news of your passing and thought "Why are the truly good people taken from us much too soon" I had the good fortune to work with Mike as an instructor and check airman. He was not only a gifted pilot, but a fine person. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. God speed Michael.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Mike's family. I'm still in shock of learning about Mikes passing. I'm part of Mikes Pentastar Family and had a number of trips that we ended up in the same city. He was an absolute sweetheart of a guy! So charismatic in every way, adventurous, charming, always friendly and always smiling! He will be greatly missed by all who ever crossed his path. Gone way to soon. Rest in peace Mike Kelly Haass

I first met Mike in the late 90´s when we both flew for NJM. I always knew how much that he enjoyed every single day by trying to maximize the amount of fun that one could accomplish in 24 hours. Once we parted ways in early 2002, I never thought that we would cross paths 13 years later on the opposite side of the State. Even though that we didn´t fly together at our new destination, I was able to get caught up. I know that the pilots that have been currently flying with Mike, will truly...

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Mike was our families next door neighbor in Waterford for almost 20 years. He was a kind and mellow fellow. Our nick name for him was "Smiley Mike". Always smiling and showing those pearlie whites. He will be greatly missed by my children whom still live next door in their daily lives. Our hearts are broken. Sending our love and condolences to his family.

I flew with Mike at Pentastar Aviation for several years. There were so many things I loved about Mike. His sense of adventure, a warm personality, easy to talk with, and a fantastic pilot. Every time I spent time with him on a trip or just hanging out I left our time together feeling like a better person. Thanks for all the happiness, fun, and memories you brought to the world Mike. You inspired me and I'll do my best to follow in your footsteps.

Mike and I have been flying together for years hiring on at Pentastar about the same time. There's no one like Mike - he was so full of life - we'd no sooner land at a destination and Mike couldn't wait to explore. We spent 16 days together in a small rented house in the middle of a cow pasture right on the ocean ;-) in the Azores a few years ago. Needless to say it looked like it was going to be a long 16 days, but Mike kept finding cool stuff to occupy our time. I really enjoyed those...
