Dear Tim and the rest of the Faherty family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Dear Family of Michael, Your words for your beloved one and the column written by Steve Duin, in the Oregonian, have greatly ministered to our family. We lost my two sisters to bi-polar disorder in the last 12 months. Their Memorial Services were almost a year apart to the day - the weekend of the 21st. We sisters grew up in the Madeline area - just a few blocks away - on 18th and Klickitat Streets. Like Michael, my sisters had great impact on others in their lives. And paraphrasing...

Dear Faherty family,
I was so sad and shocked to hear of Michael's death. I went to high school with Michael and everyone loved him. Everyone! I am thinking of your family at this time as I lost a sibling at a young age. Please know that Michael was such a terrific person. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Michael's passing. Michael had such a beautiful soul. Our hearts go out to you.

Dear Faherty Family,
I'm so very sorry for the loss of Michael, your dear son, brother, and uncle. I'm sorry too for the suffering he endured, may he be at peace now. I lost my brother on the same day and can relate to the large hole that remains without Michael's presence in your lives. I hope that in time you can all find peace in your own hearts and cherish the happy memories.
