Not sure what to say?

Brother Mike was a very special Christian man. I met him at Wealthy St. Baptist church where we both worked in the 70's. He was Youth Pastor and I was Reception/Secretary. So many wonderful memories as we both as families, also, went to Heritage Baptist Church. He ministered with much love, understanding, compassion to the young people God entrusted to him. His boundless energy and sense of humor along with great inventiveness for methods to include, inspire and welcome the kids to Jesus was...

Wow, where do I start. Mike was truly a messenger of God. He oozed love from every pore. He spent himself sacrificially, tirelessly encouraging young people to follow Christ with their whole heart. He has touched thousands of lives during his lifetime and changed many, many lives by his godly example. In fact it was because of him that I met Marla Klooster and quite a story it is. The last time we both met Mike and Elizabeth was at a funeral. We talked about getting together and as life...

Dear Elizabeth and family, Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Brother Mike touched so many lives with his encouragement, wisdom, time and love of God. You both touched my life when I needed someone to guide and teach me. I will always be thankful to God for that. " Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints in our hearts and we are never ever the same ."

We have lost a treasured friend, a trusted counselor, and a valued fount of wisdom. Heartfelt condolences to the entire family during this difficult time of loss and prayers for comfort that only God can provide.

Pastor Mike was a Wonderful Youth Pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in the 80's when our three children Darin Forsythe and Dave and Kimberly VanNoller attended. All three were going through their parents Divorce and needed a Godly Leader. Dave was also a "Preacher Boy" and stayed connected with Pastor Mike for many years. Thanks for sharing him to help our Teenagers.

We both appreciated Pastor Mike as Youth Pastor at Heritage Baptist Church where Darin Forsythe, Dave and Kimberly VanNoller were ministered to and Dave was one of the Preacher Boy's and kept in touch with Pastor Mike over the years. Thank you for sharing him with our children after going through their parents Divorces and Encouraging them along the way In The Lord. May God Bless you and your family knowing you will Spend Eternity together in Heaven with Jesus someday.

My brother Pastor, Mike, was a walking example of God`s marvelous grace. We became instant friends while he was pastoring in Zeeland. Our times together were always refreshing and I was very pleased when he became pastor of Northland Baptist Church, which I had pastored back in the 80s. Elizabeth, praying for you and all of your family during this time. Psalm 16:11; 17:15; 23:6 Puritan in Thomas Watson said, "heaven is such a happy place the angels wouldn´t wish to leave it for a minute!"
