Celebration of life service for Mr. Michael Robert Ferguson, Sr. will be held on Saturday May 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at New Testament Church, 11530 Walker Road, Thonotosassa, Florida with Apostle Al Gallon, Officiating.
Mr. Michael Robert Ferguson Sr. was born on December 25, 1960, to Robert and Shirley Ferguson in Chester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Chester High School. Michael, affectionately known as “Big Mike” or “Ferg” was a beacon of light in every
room he entered. He enjoyed making others laugh with his witty, sarcastic, and sometimes offensive jokes. When he wasn’t busy talking trash and being a comedian, he loved wrestling, basketball, and more importantly, his family.
He was a family-oriented guy, a son; father, brother, uncle, friend, and hard worker. With a Nehemiah anointing, he was an impeccable builder, skilled with his hands, and was highly knowledgeable in remodeling, reconstruction and identifying defects in any
building or platform you could point out. He touched so many lives of those near and far. He frequently provided those in the streets with jobs, teaching them skills, lending a helping hand, or fixing whatever was broken around the house. The void in our hearts is
indicative of the absence of his presence. Although his legacy will live on, he is truly and forever missed. Early Saturday morning on May 11, 2024, God saw it fit to call home one of his greatest builders.
He was preceded in death and now joins his mother, Shirley Ferguson; father, Robert Ferguson; son, Michael Robert Turner-Ferguson Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins on the path to eternity.
He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories with his children, Darnell Lawler (Teneka), LaToya Rykard and Sydney Turner- Ferguson; fiancé, Angle Williams (children and grandchildren who knew him as “Paw”); grandchildren, Amaya Lawler, Taniya Lawler, Tiara Lawler, Javon Russell, Allen Thurman Jr., and Legend Dixon; sister, Apostle Tami Robinson; bonus daughter, Joy Jarvis; bonus grandson, Archiles Jarvis, and a host of other sorrowful relatives and friends. There will be a viewing on Friday May 24, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral home. 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, Florida 33605.

Mike was the greatest man and contractor that I have ever met and will ever meet. He will be truly missed and remembered along my every step of the way with my skills he taught me in both construction and life and will always be one of the main and best influences I have. Words cannot describe how much I will miss him and how much of a positive impact he has made to me. Everytime I called him, he answered. Every time I needed help or advice, he answered. Every time I’d ask him a favor, he’d...
