Michael Fiorot, 82, of Pen Argyl passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Rose Mary (Valletta) Fiorot, together they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary, August 6, 2025.

Born in Fountain Hill, PA, August 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Frank and Julia (Patuski) Fiorot.

Michael was a 1961 graduate from Pen Argyl Area High School where he sang in the chorus, played the trumpet, played in the band, and in a small dance band called the Seventeens. After graduating from Rider College in 1965, Michael was employed for one year with Woolworth’s Department Store in their management training program. For nearly 35 years, Michael worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation. During that time, he held various positions within payroll and benefits including Supervisor of Supplemental Unemployment Benefits Accounting and Analyst Pension Administration Analyst Business Services Division.

Michael served six years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He was Secretary to both the Pen Argyl Borough Council as well as to the Pen Argyl Weona Park Board. Michael enjoyed following Penn State and Pen Argyl football and playing golf.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Roseto and was a member of the former St. Roch’s Catholic Church, West Bangor, where he served as a lector.

Everyone was amazed at his sense of humor even throughout his serious health problems. He was a joy to behold and never complained.

In addition to his wife, Rose Mary, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Vee Jacobson and her husband, Roger of Orlando, FL, a son, Gregory Michael Fiorot and his wife, Maureen, of Basking Ridge, NJ, four grandchildren, Madison and Hannah Jacobson, and Ryan and Jacqueline Fiorot, and a sister, Regina Larsen of Jacksonville, FL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 3rd and Garibaldi Avenues, Roseto. There will be viewing hours on Friday, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM and Saturday, beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM, at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave, Pen Argyl. Not sure what to say?

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

We were so saddened to learn of Michael's passing. You could search forever without finding a nicer, more amicable man. We will always remember our joint anniversaries. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Our deepest sympathies to Rosa and the entire family.

My deepest condolences to Rosa & the Fiorot family. Michael was such a Wonderful Man. Always smiling! May he rest in peace!

Over the years I've often recalled what my "brother" Michael said "Man proposes, God disposes", or with a gleam in
his eye, " I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong". To me he was he soul of discretion and the model of fortitude. The marriage of Micheal and my wonderful sister Rose was always an inspiration to us, Rose's loving care of Michael epitomize the beautiful spirit of their marriage.
