Michael W. Fitzgerald, 27 of Templeton, died unexpectedly Sunday morning May 2, 2010 at home. Michael was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, a son of Harry and Jean Fitzgerald, of East Templeton, and has lived in Templeton for 23 years. Michael was working for Heywood Hospital as a Critical Care Technician. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years. He served tours of duty in both Iraq and Bosnia. Michael is loved by all who knew him, and he leaves behind many friends and family who cared for him very much. Michael cherished all the time he spent with his daughter Robyn, whom he loved to take fishing. Besides his parents and daughter, Michael is survived by his brother; Daniel F. Fitzgerald of Brooklyn, NY, one sister; Mary Claire Fitzgerald of San Diego, CA, his maternal grandmother; Claire Turcotte of Sterling, MA, his significant other; Krystle Champagne of Templeton, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Michaels life by gathering for visiting hours in the Lamoureux-Fletcher Community Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, on Wednesday May 5, 2010 from 4-8PM.
