Mike- Gods speed on your new journey....RIP

I remember Mike from his days with the Convention. He was always kind. It sounds like he had an amazing life.

I´m so sorry to hear this news. Some of my favorite memories of Michael are when he joined the preschool students and their families in the Boys Town Preschool Program. Over the years, we invited Michael to share his gifts with our students in the classroom. The year that he made drums with them was especially fun. Michael also participated in fundraisers for the preschool program where he played music for the families, children and other guests at our Art Events. He always reminded me of...

I used to play in the band at Holy Family with Mike. Sad to read of his passing. Peace be with him and his family

I grew up near Spring Lake in South O and remember Mike as an extremely kind and gifted man. My condolences go out to his wife and a special prayer also for Mary and Theresa, with whom I attended grade and high school. With sympathy, Bernadette Galus Zajac Colorado Springs, CO

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Mike and remember walking home from school with him. He was truly a St Joseph like man as an adult. I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing him at church once in a while. His smile was one in a million. May he rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.

I grew up 2 blocks from Mike near Spring Lake and played in the Convention with him for the first 2 years . It was good times ...no ....great times ! I'll see him and other past band members on the other side .

We were sorry to learn of the passing of Mike. I went to school with Mike at St. Joseph H.S. My husband Jim carried papers for 3 years with Mike. They were neighbors. Nancy, Theresa and Mary will be in our thoughts and prayers.

It was my honor to play with Mike for over 20 years at Sacred Heart church. He brought a welcoming sense of adventure and creativity to his playing, which was also very evident in the wonderful solo recordings he made over the years. His drumming also showed a flair of the dramatic, but it was the sheer joy of his playing that I'll remember the most.
