Not sure what to say?

To both Ginny and Kathy, my SMA classmates, and their families, prayers for your acceptance of God's will in calling your husband, brother and relative, to Himself. May His peace be with you as you deal with your mortal loss. May you see your loved one again in the Everlasting.

Barbara Braig Allen SMA '57

On behalf of Mike's many friends at the Southwest Chess Club, I'd like to express our condolences to his family. Mike was a true competitor, regardless of the playing strength of his opponent, and always a gentleman. We will miss him.

Tom Fogec, Vice President, Southwest Chess Club

Virginia, I am so sorry for your loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. Gene and Meg Brown

Dear Fixel Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was always involved in many of our Koerschner Family functions and we always enjoyed his company. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Anne Koerschner's daughter. Mary Chris Grede(Kleinschmidt)

Our prayers and thoughts are with you during your time of loss. Your St. Greg's Family

I first met Mike about seven years ago when we were active members of the Southwest Chess Club. Mike and I played several matches of competitive chess in the few years that followed. He often unleashed a fierce attack when it was most unexpected; he clearly loved the game. Win, lose, or draw Mike was always, without exception, a true gentleman. I have always held him in high regard.

I remember Mike and Virginia from my time as music director/liturgy coordinator at IHM in West Allis and Virginia's singing in the choir. I offer my prayers for Mike's eternal rest and peace and for Virginia and your family's comfort. I will remember Mike the next time I celebrate the Eucharist. "Mr. Paul" now "Fr. Paul".

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the Fixel family. I did not know Mike very well. I remember him as a classmate at Don Bosco HS, class of 54. I have not talked to him since graduation but I do remember him.
