Michael T. Fogg
1955 - 2025
South Hadley
Michael T. Fogg, 70, of South Hadley, formerly of Fort Ann, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Born in Glenns Fall, NY on June 27, 1955, he was the son of the late Walter and Julia (Owens) Fogg. Michael grew up in upstate New York before attending Boston University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in History. He later settled in the Springfield and South Hadley, MA communities, where he raised his family.
Throughout his career, Michael devoted himself to helping others. He worked as a manager at the Ronald McDonald House and held several roles in the mental health field, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Michael was also a dedicated member of Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, where he found community, comfort, and spiritual grounding.
A lifelong learner, Michael was an avid reader and a dedicated book and coin collector. He had a deep love for history and movies. Michael was a true storyteller--always ready with a vivid memory or a well-timed anecdote that could make you laugh. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He leaves behind his seven children: Kristofer Fogg and his wife Erica of Methuen, MA; Katherine Fontaine and her husband Jonathan of Manchester, CT; Joanna Fogg of Feeding Hills, MA; Alison Fogg of Tolland, CT; Aaron Fogg of Agawam, MA; Cassandra Fogg of South Hadley; and Owen Fogg of South Hadley, MA. He is also survived by his siblings, William Fogg and his wife Lorraine of Fort Ann, NY, and Diane Goodspeed and her husband Timothy of Fort Ann, NY; and seven grandchildren: James, Brandon, Emma, Theodore, Cora, Enzo and Kaelyn.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 28th, from 4–7 PM at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley. Michael's funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 29th, at 10 AM in the funeral home, with committal prayers to follow in St. Rose Cemetery, South Hadley.
