Michael Foster

When I heard about Michael's passing it was from his brother-in-law Bob Hart. His sister Nancy was not doing well so Bob called. I was sad and wished I could have gone to a service but it was not available at that time. I loved Michael. He was smart and funny and always had a great come back at my attempt at humor. We were always a close family and spent many great times together as kids. I was also his sponsor for his Conformation and that made for even more connection at the time. ...

Very sad to see that my old friend and classmate Mike has passed on and send my sympathy to Mary Kay and family. Mike and I graduated from Salesianum together , car pooled to St Joe's together and then were both swept up in the Vietrnam mess with Mike joining the Air Force and me being drafted into the Army in 1967. I have known Michael his entire life. I'm an older cousin, by two years and was blessed to have grown up with the Fosters. I was gifted to be Michael's sponsor at his Conformation, although I was not such a good sponsor in the religious realm. We have seen each other at some weddings and many more funerals, but the last time we spent time together was at Nancy and Bob's 50th anniversary party. I will visit the grave site in Wilmington when I am back in town next month.
