My fondest memories of "Mr. Garrett" are his quirky jokes and fun rides to YMCA Day Camp. He provided rides to my siblings and me one fantastic summer, to make sure we enjoyed day camp. When I think of my school years in Concord, Mr. Garrett is right up there on the list of "who I want to be like when I grow up." We need more like him! Heartfelt condolences go out to the Garrett family. Mr. Garrett made CHS a special place. When I think of CHS, his smile is the first thing that comes to mind. It was obvious how much he cared about the students. RIP.

Soon after coming to Concord in 1990, I found that Michael Garrett and I were the only local residents who had graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. Arranging to meet him, I found him to be the respected and admired educator, known to all as "the man" at Concord High School. Michael Garrett was truly a wonderful educator who cared deeply for his students and his school. I have fond memories of "Mr. Garrett" whom we affectionately called each other "Dingy" for all my years there, he kept my head screwed on straight many times until I graduated in 1982. Will always remember him-he will be missed dearly.
