Not sure what to say?

Dr. Garvey was an exceptional veterinarian and friend. I remember when he gently euthanized our 16 year old Daisy and shortly afterwards euthanized our puppy due to distemper and cried, saying she would she was so young that she would never feel the grass beneath her feet. He loved our dogs and it showed. He was an exemplary human being and I will always remember him with respect and love. May Michael Garvey rest in peace.

Michael and I were friends in the 90s. He was such a gentleman: caring, engaged and generous.

Garv was a big part of my college life. He had such an infectious laugh. I can still hear it. He was a pinball legend at the University of Illinois. So many memories.

You were the very best, Dr. Garvey. Thank you for all you did for my dogs, and for Steve and me when the decisions were heartbreaking but clear. Thank you for all you did wherever you went. You will be very much missed. I am so sorry that you are gone. May you rest in peace.

I met Michael Garvey in 1977 as a scared, apprehensive newby from the sticks of small town Missouri. Michael made me feel welcomed into, what at the time, seemed the chaos of the AMC. Even then ,early in his own own career, his empathy, humor, incredible clinical skills and teaching ability molded a clinician out of a raw new DVM. Thank you for all you have done for the profession and for your dedication and for being there when I needed your help and wisdom.
Rest in peace Dr. Garvey

It was obvious on the day you arrived at The AMC that you could become a great one. You did.

RIP Dr. Garvey

My, Dear friend...miss you dearly... so sad .
Hope we all did our best in your final years. Take care, Bud!

From Mike's many friends in the Mendel Class of 1968.
We learned a lot with and from you.
