My condolences to all. He was truly a great person. He helped me so much in music school and was always compassionate to the students and about music. My heart is sad to hear this news.

I coached with Mike in Fallon, Nevada. Great guy, wonderful sense of humor and he sincerely put the kids first. The world will definitely be less fun without him.

I had Gillian many times while in college and he just pulled your attention right away. He told us stories that just busted our guts but he also told us stories that really tagged the empathy inside all of us. He was a ground zero for everyone and that's what I really loved about him. Gillian always cared. I had a student pass away a few days before and he knew to check in on me. I wish we had talked a quiet a bit longer.
