Not sure what to say?

I was a drama/speech student of Mr. Goertz at LOJRHI back in the late 60s. He helped open up the world of performing and public speaking that has been a wonderful part of my life. I can still quote from the first play he cast me in! He certainly was a memorable teacher for me. I´m saddened by his passing but I hope you loved ones have wonderful memories to ease your grief. Tender thoughts. Jan Koenig

Covid kept me away from the celebration...Mike was my Friend...was my son Craig's English teacher...we worked together in the IPS Project...Always positive and Caring...a mentor and leader to many of our staff...the "Barn/Farm stories" he shared with us! Mike will be missed by All of the Barlow Community.................

I send you my deepest sympathy. Mike was such a caring individual and a joy to be with.

Oh Barb, and girls and the rest of the family. It was such a privilege to know Mike, as well as the rest of you all for so many years. Mike will be so missed, but we will see him again soon. Love you all.

I believe you are the Mr. and Mrs. Goertz that were youth leaders at Eastminster Presbyterian church in the mid-60's? I was a member of that group, along with my best friend Holly. You made a difference in our lives and I'm grateful for your service. You made it cool to be Christian! May you know the peace that passes understanding in this time of loss.

Mike was one of my favorite teachers way back at LOJHS in the mid 60s. He was also one of my favorite customers at The Heating Specialist. It comforts me to know Mike served a risen Lord.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying Mike at the Corbett Grade School for Bible study. He had a vast knowledge of the Bible and shared it with the Bible study group. Soft spoken man with a very strong handshake. Truly a person to look up to. Your body is a shell but you will live forever with Jesus Christ in a new body without sickness or disease. May you rest in peace.

Mike was a great help to me when I first started teaching at Barlow. His wit and wisdom will be sorely missed. God be with you Barb. Your friends and family will be there for you.

Barb, praying for you and your family tonight.
