Michael William Goldrick of Delray Beach passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86. A native of New Jersey, Mike moved to Delray Beach with his family in 1978 where he spent many happy years surrounded by great friends and family. Known affectionately as “Gator Mike” to his friends, Mike was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators football and basketball teams. He spent many hours watching the games while texting his fellow gator friends and family about every play made, both good and bad. His love for the Gators was matched only by his deep devotion to his family.
Mike was a devoted husband to his wife of 62 years, Eleanor, and proud father to his daughter Michele and son Michael. His five grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Pop-pop”, were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Mike was known for his great sense of humor, always with a quick joke or a smile that brightened the room.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor, daughter Michele Jurdak, son Michael and 5 grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will follow directly after the Mass at the clubhouse at Country Manors on Lake Ida Road in Delray Beach.
In lieu of flowers you can make a donation in Mike’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
