As a high school class mate, you made a life long lasting impression on so many of us, and I have searched for a way to contact you off and on for years. We lovingly called you our "Grogan-Creature". And I especially was in awe of your selflessness, your intellect, and your humor. I am so sad to hear of your passing, yet so happy to finally learn of what a wonderful life you lived. Mike was an unusually fine man. He helped me, without any prompting, when I started my online business and he did so for no reward, in fact he refused one. Living in England I never met him and was never aware of the extent of his health problems, because he never mentioned them. I have known many people in the Conder collecting field and whenever Mike's name has been mentioned, in person or in email, it has been 100% positive. There is no finer tribute I could pay. My father was a gentle soul trapped in a weakened body and constantly relearning how to channel his frustrations into his quest for more knowledge. He was a complex man to attempt to summarize, and this obituary was my own, sad attempt. I miss my father dearly and desperately.

In Christian concern and loving care, you were uplifted in prayer by The Mens Prayer Fellowship of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.

Mike had a keen intellect and the soul of a philosopher. He will be missed.
