To the family and fiancee of Michael Guess, I knew Michael briefly at UND and my heart just stopped when I heard his name as the co-pilot of Wellstone's plane. What a tragedy to lose such a great person when his life seemed to be just beginning. My thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at Webster Elementary and continued our friendship at Highland Sr. High. He was an extrodinary person. The positive enery that he gave off will never be forgotten! You are all in my thoughts and prayers-God Bless

I barely knew you, but was impressed with your dedication to your career, your professionalism, your optimism, and your friendly smile. I will always regret that we were not better friends than we were, and that the timing of our meeting was not more favorable. May God bless you and keep you in his care now that you are home with him.

I knew Michael from the bookshop he frequented. He was intelligent, bright and very focused. He was a special person. I know he loved flying and he left this world doing what he enjoyed most. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends at this most difficult time - God Bless you all.

I went to Webster Elementary School with Michael, we were friends. Lost touch over the years, and with great honor met him again on Saturday October 19th, 2002. Walking into Million Air in St. Paul I saw a friend, he was my pilot, Michael Guess. After a successful round trip flight from St. Paul to Rochester then to Duluth and back the opposite way, my last words to him were, "It was a pleasure flying with you, and...

I never got the pleasure to meet Michael, but through my mother Veronica, I got to meet his family memebers & hear alot about Michael. She would always say what a beautiful child & what a wonderful man he was.
He was very special to my mom.

Michael, you will be missed at Ryan International Airlines by all those that knew you. Your friendly face and helpful attitude made us smile. You touched many of us!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. May you feel peace and comfort in the days to come.
