I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great person and wonderful dad. I met Mike in 1967 on a construction job in Detroit, we were both journeyman carpenters and teachers. He hired me coach at Detroit All Saint and then St. Alphonsus. He was a fierce comparator and worked hard at his job.
