Not sure what to say?

Mary Ellen, you have my deepest sympathy. Michael was a special person and it was such an honor to know him. I am truly sorry for your loss.

My sympathy to your family. His students were lucky to have known him

I am very sadden by the lost of Mike. He was a good and decent man. It was pleasure being the teacher of his children at Jefferson Elementary School. The family was so loving. May his memory be a blessing.

I lived with Mike's son Ben for several years and throughout, Mike was an inspiration to me. I can't believe he's gone, but at least I was able to see him one last time this summer. While I could write pages about him, I'll leave it at this. Words cannot describe him. He was an amazing friend, father, and mentor. We'll never forget you, Mike.

Mary Ellen and family it is so hard to believe that a man so full of life has left us (in this world anyway)... I worked with Mike at Clement Ave. School. What a joy it was to see him in action! He has touched more lives than you will ever know. One word to describe this incredible man ... Maverick. My heart and prayers are with you all. -Theresa Barnes
