Michael Hall Obituary

HALL, MICHAEL ALLEN, 63, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. He is survived by three sisters; four brothers; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. Memorial service: 3 p.m. February 1, 2014 at Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation: after 1 p.m. Saturday. Online condolences: www.archlheadysouthernfh.com.

Dear Friends and family of Michael Hall,

I am so sorry about his passing. It was just the other day I was thinking about Michael. I also come from a big catholic family, raised here in the San Fernando valley. Michael and I met while working at Capitol Drugs. I have this candle holder that Michael gave me one year after a Christmas party. You see it was a secret Santa gift and Michael had stolen it from me. The way the game goes I couldn't get it back. The next day at work Michael brought in the candle holder and said "I got it for you." He knew I really wanted it.

Michael is a wonderful smart man who had a lot of class. I am so glad he was in my life.

The candle holder is in my living room to this day. It is a ring of people holding each other and in the middle is the candle. I will always be thinking of Michael every time in look at it.

My name is Jack Ferrucci. I live in Los Angeles. I was a friend of Michael's during the time he lived in West Hollywood.

Michael had told few, if any, of his friends here about his worsening health and his intention to return to his hometown. So it came as an enormous shock to learn that he was back in Louisville, was seriously ill, and finally, that he had passed away.

I feel deeply saddened by his passing. Michael was one of the nicest, funniest, most intelligent people I have ever known. This world is greatly diminished by his absence.

My heartfelt condolences to you all.

I worked with Michael at Capitol Drugs. He was so funny. We kept in touch the first year after he left but when I didn't hear from him anymore I hoped it was because he had retired in Thailand since he spoke of those plans so often.. I still wear the earrings he gave me when he returned from one of his vacations there. I'm so sad to hear he passed away, and so were so many customers that grew fond of him. I was glad to have known him and will never forget him. My prayers are with all of you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My name is Jay and I was a customer of Capitol Drugs where Michael worked a number of years ago. We truly loved Michael. Right before Michael left Capitol our house burned down and we were left with nothing, Michael to the rescue!!
Even though we have not seen Michael in years we will always remember such a great and caring man.

I have wonderful memories of Mike Hall. He was a friend and we spent many years together growing up. He was always so nice to my brothers and sisters as well. He really took an interest in people and wanted to make their dreams come true. He gave my little sister Ellen a pair of real tap dance shoes when she was a little girl. We all loved Mike. I am really very sorry Nancy and Family, Mike was a big part of my growing up, I still have many memories of him, He was Hilarious, I remember that Halloween in the 70's he was the Silver space man, he was a riot,and he was a good person to take your problems too, he actually listened. He had great insight and a really big heart, he will be missed, and I dont remember why I have this thought but everytime I hear the song Let It Be, I still think of him.
