Not sure what to say?

I had Mike for typing in 8th grade and Merchandising in the 12th grade. He some way got in touch with me when I was in the middle of tennis practice for a co-op job opportunity at O'Connor's Hardware in Breton Village. I got the job and the people I met there really changed my life at that time. I've thought about him many times over the years as the teacher that really cared about his kids. My condolences.

I am in total shock to find out of Mr Handlin's passing. He was ONE of the best teachers ever. I worked in the bookstore and I took his computer class (apple products) A super awesome teacher and mentor. My prayers are with his family. Rip Mr H. (one of the preppiest dressers ever) So sad ; (

Terri, I just learned of Michael's death. I give you my heart! I always looked forward to our conversation at our gatherings. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. David

Oh, Terri, I did not know this. I am so sorry and will definitely keep you in my prayers. Much love, Marcia.

Michael Handlin has been the person who I called "MENTOR" for my being in the "entertainment business". I am so grateful for his kindness, generosity, and inspiration for getting me started as a professional DJ. I'm really glad that I had some opportunities in the past few months to actually SAY THAT to Terri and Mike. There's no better time to acknowledge someone than WHILE THEY'RE LIVING. My request goes out to each and everyone that reads this:
TAKE TIME to say whatever it is that you...

Terri, so sad to hear about Mike. All I could think of was all the fun and comical times we had in the CGCG and Mike's contribution to many of the parties/events as the music man. The mention of Party Down flooded my memory and made me smile. He will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's family and friends. I will always remember the great times my family and I had in Grand Rapids with Mike, Terri, John, Brent, and all the aunts and uncles!

Dear Terri,

"Mr. Apple" as I knew him in our Wednesday morning Noto's sessions was a devoted fan of Apple products having owned the stock for 15 years and always first to buy their products. He had a deep almost childlike infatuation with everything Apple.

He also was a techno geek at heart, loving to show off his D.J. stuff, always the best.

But I guess the most memorable thing about Mike - besides our too few golf outings - was his humanity and trust in others, and...

Starbuck's Chai, four/five pumps, skim milk, no foam, no water, 185 degrees. Lots of laughs and good, good talks. Next time we have Chai, it will be a "communion". We love both of you. Don and Nancy Harmon
